“My journey with The Deckers Group began in 2014, at The Royal Toby Hotel in the form of a Trainee Hotel Receptionist, after some time I was offered a permanent position to join the team. With the skills I gained, I became the Reception Supervisor – this opportunity made me realise my passion for the Hospitality Sector and that I wanted my career to progress with Deckers. An internal opening arose in the Marketing Department – despite having no previous formal Marketing experience I took a leap and applied for the position. The Leadership Team invested their time, knowledge, and experience in coaching me in this role, as well as funding an external accredited course to give me the theoretical knowledge behind the role.
